How Pickup Works for Customers

When curbside pickup is enabled, your customers will see a "Pick up in store" (or similar) option during checkout.

Customer Experience:

  1. Select Pickup
    On your store's cart page or at checkout, customers choose "Pickup" as their delivery method.

  2. Choose Location
    If you have multiple locations, customers can select the pickup point most convenient for them.

  3. Schedule a Time
    Customers can pick an available date and time slot (if you've set up schedules). Unscheduled pickup is also supported.

  4. Complete Order
    The order is placed with the chosen pickup details.

  5. Get Notified
    Customers receive automated confirmation and reminder emails or SMS (customizable in Alpaca).

  6. Pick Up Their Order
    They arrive at your store, follow your instructions, and collect their order.
