Route Planning and Driver Assignment

Note: Some features on this page require the Driver Accounts add-on or a specific Alpaca subscription plan.

With Alpaca’s delivery routing, you can organize local delivery orders into optimized routes and assign them to specific drivers.

How Route Planning Works

1. Go to the Deliveries page

   • Find all pending delivery orders for a specific date/location.

2. Select Orders to Deliver

   • Choose one or more orders for the same delivery window.

3. Create a Delivery Route

   • Use the “Create Delivery Route” button to organize stops.
   • Assign a driver (if using driver accounts).

4. Optimize Route

   • Alpaca can suggest the most efficient order for stops.
   • See a map of all addresses in the route.

5. Driver Assignments

   • Drivers get access to their routes in the Alpaca dashboard (driver login required).
   • Drivers can mark deliveries complete as they go.
