Product-Level Controls & Eligibility Tags
Alpaca allows you to manage which products are eligible for pickup, delivery, or shipping, and use tags to control schedules and rates.
Setting Product Eligibility
- Go to Products in Alpaca.
- For each product, choose if it can be picked up, delivered, or shipped.
- Use bulk actions to update many products at once.
Using Tags
- Assign custom tags to products for advanced rules (e.g., “perishable”, “bulky”).
- In your pickup/delivery schedules, specify which tags must be present (or absent) for those options to show.
- Sync Shopify product tags to Alpaca for easier management.
Example Use Cases
- Only allow pickup for “perishable” items.
- Restrict certain products from being delivered.
- Offer special schedules for specific product categories.

Tags are powerful! Review your schedules and rates to see where tags can automate your rules.
