Testing & Troubleshooting Notifications

How to Test Notifications

  • In Settings → Notifications, click the “Send Test Notification” option for any template.
  • Enter your email address or phone number to preview the message.
  • Review how it appears and check for typos or formatting issues.

Troubleshooting Checklist

  • Is the notification enabled?
  • Does the customer’s order have a valid email or phone number?
  • Was the correct status/action taken to trigger the notification?
  • Check the order timeline for a record of sent notifications.
  • For email: Check your spam/junk folder if not received.
  • For SMS: Verify the phone number is correct and SMS is supported on your plan.

Common Issues

  • Notification not sent: Double-check if the template is enabled and the order details are complete.
  • Wrong content or formatting: Edit and save your template, then re-test.
  • Customer not receiving SMS: Make sure their phone number is entered in international format and your plan includes SMS.
