First Steps Checklist

Use this checklist to get Alpaca up and running fast!

  1. Install Alpaca from the Shopify App Store
  2. Complete the setup wizard to connect locations and set basic options
  3. Enable pickup, delivery, and/or shipping for at least one location
  4. Set your pickup and delivery schedules
  5. Configure rates (free, flat, or distance-based)
  6. Customize notification templates for your brand (logo, colors, wording)
  7. Test the customer experience
    • Add a product to cart, select a fulfillment method, and go through checkout
    • Confirm that you receive order notifications
  8. Review orders in the Alpaca dashboard and try updating statuses
  9. Train your staff on the new fulfillment workflow

Ready to go live?

  • Announce your new pickup or delivery options to customers!
  • Monitor orders and make adjustments as needed.
