Creating Delivery Rates and Schedules

Alpaca makes it easy to control when and how much to charge for local delivery.

1. Set Up Delivery Rates

• Go to Settings → Delivery in Alpaca.
• For each location, add one or more delivery rates.
• Set a rate name and description (what customers see at checkout).
• Choose a price (can be flat, free, or tiered by zone).
• Set minimum order amounts if needed.

2. Configure Delivery Schedules

• In the same settings, add delivery schedules.
• Pick days of the week, start/end times, and timeslot increments (e.g., 1 hour slots).
• Set a maximum number of orders per timeslot to avoid overbooking.
• Optionally assign schedules to specific product tags.

3. Add Blocked Dates

• Block out holidays or dates when delivery isn’t available in Settings → Delivery.

4. Advanced Options

• Show only the cheapest delivery rate, or let customers pick from all eligible rates.
• Limit delivery to orders where all products are eligible for delivery.

Testing

• Add a product to your cart and go through checkout as a customer to verify rates and scheduling.
