A mixed cart is when the customer’s order includes products with different fulfillment rules (e.g., some for pickup, some only for shipping).
Alpaca lets you control:
Whether to show pickup/delivery if any item is eligible (flexible), or only if all items are eligible (strict).
This can be configured separately for pickup and delivery under their settings.
How it works for customers:
If their cart doesn’t qualify for a method (e.g., one item can’t be picked up), Alpaca can:
Hide that method at checkout, or
Prompt them to remove ineligible items, if you enable this option.
Best practices:
Use “All eligible” to prevent customers from choosing fulfillment methods you can’t support for the entire order.
Use “Any eligible” if you want to offer maximum flexibility (but may need to manage split orders).
